Wat-er surprise in the city

DAILY EXPRESS :

THIS sight of water shooting from four places for weeks on end made many motorists passing Tanjung Lipat contact the Daily Express and Water Department about possible multiple pipe bursts.

Which was not surprising as few would expect to find a fountain built within a 20ft wide by 100ft long saltwater swamp.

The construction was clever and cost-effective.A classic example of appropriate technology - just PVC pipes and a water pump - set amid the lush green foothill of famed Signal Hill.

The brainchild of City Hall's (DBKK) Landscaping Department, it proves fountains need not be costly and can blend with the wilderness.

City folks may have also noticed that DBKK has revived a long dysfunctional fountain in Gaya Street. It suggests an official determination to keep fountains working. After all, many say the sound and sight of water make them feel good.

It adds to the quality of life of a city.

I can not participate now in discussion - there is no free time. But I will return - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
